BACKGROUND & HISTORY: Ari was born in Maine. His father died when he was 25. His mother still lives in Maine, residing in a nursing home in Bangor, which she detests. Both of Ari’s parents are witches – his whole family have been for generations. Ari’s mother cannot use her powers in the nursing home, which is incredibly frustrating but necessary for her safety.

His parents sent him to private school at the age of 5, boarding school at age 9, moving at 14 to MCI where he continued his education whilst studying ballet. He often spent his summers at his grandmother’s Villa near Nice.

He loves his mother very much, but their relationship has occasionally been a little dicey. Ari believes that his parents would have divorced had his parents’ pride not stopped them. Ari’s older brother is more into track and field, and often competes. Ari’s brother does not feel that ballet counts as a sport of any kind, and is generally pretty dismissive of Ari as a whole. They don’t speak much. His brother was a bit of a bully of an older brother, and while Ari would claim that it hasn’t affected him and he doesn’t care, he’s lying.

He’s had the occasional boyfriend but never anything serious.

PERSONALITY: People tend to see Ari as a bit standoffish, even rude sometimes, but that’s more of a front, a protection. He can be easily irritated and will not tolerate being bored. He’s a great teacher, and is very kind and understanding of any problems his pupils might be having, but he doesn’t hold back. He will tell you if you’re doing something badly. Ari is a kind soul, and will stand-up for anyone he believes is being wronged. He’s fiercely loyal to those he holds dear, and will not hold back about telling people that he cares about them. Ari is modest with his spending habits – for the most part. He’ll throw money at anyone he sees as deserving. He loves a good party, and will dance whether anyone will dance with him or not.

OPINION OF THE RIVALRY: He knows about the rivalry, sort of. He thinks it’s a sad story if it’s true, but feels it might be time to get over it by now.

LIFESTYLE: Ari is from a wealthy family, but tries to live as modestly as possible. He was left quite a bit of money by his father, and bought himself a nice apartment overlooking the water. He works at the Siren Cove Dance Academy, teaching mostly ballet. He also plays the violin, just for fun. Parties and nightclubs are his go-to for relaxation.

He identifies as genderqueer, and uses he/him pronouns. He identifies as gay, but is open to relationships with all genders.

POWERS & ABILITIES: Ari’s main power is the ability to speak to the dead. The proliferation of fake “mediums” makes him angry and also means he rarely uses these powers, because people often don’t believe him. He often develops powers as-needed, although hasn’t done so since his mother went to live in the nursing home, which was when he developed sensing – the ability to sense where people are are. He can be a little irritable sometimes, which was when he developed his ability to camouflage, that way if he sees someone coming that he finds annoying he can camouflage himself so he can avoid talking to them.
